One tip: Don't always go for the lowest quote, and always try to get job references,
verbal or written, from people your chosen tarmacer has done laying for in your area.
What is the difference between asphalting and tarmacing?
Well, in lay terms, tarmac cuts up fairly easily, especially
now that nearly all vehicles have power steering.
Normally layer in two coats, it is not as compact as asphalt,
which can have up to five coats of various pickings, ending up with
a top class wearing coat. Although asphalt is a little more expensive to lay,
because of the extra coats etc, it is generally recommended by my Company,
as it will last much, much longer than tarmac and looks much better,
especially when sprinkled with a nice pink or grey granite stone.
